Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh dies at 95

Jan. 22 (UPI) — Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist whose writings taught mindfulness and non-violence, died Saturday at Tu Hieu Temple in Hue, Vietnam. He was 95.

His loss of life used to be announced by way of Plum Village, a world monastic group founded by means of the Zen master in 1982. The organization mentioned he died “peacefully,” although his reason for loss of life used to be no longer revealed. He suffered a critical mind hemorrhage in 2014 which had left him unable to speak.
