WORCESTER – It was a confront-off of initial responders at Polar Park on Monday night as Worcester law enforcement officers and firefighters competed in an inaugural party honoring fallen Officer Manny Familia.
All proceeds from the occasion went to the Manny 267 Basis, with a mission to give flotation devices to law enforcement officers and educate young children how to swim.
Familia, a Worcester law enforcement officer, drowned very last summer time trying to rescue a teenager from a pond.
