UN official: Libya needs ‘ballot box, not the gun’ after postponed elections

Jan. 24 (UPI) — A most sensible political views legit with the United Countries told the security Council on Monday that the path to stability in Libya “is thru the poll field, no longer the gun” after elections have been postponed in December.

Rosemary DiCarlo, below-secretary-basic for political and peacebuilding affairs, spoke to the security Council on Monday to induce the global neighborhood to remain united in aiding Libya’s nationwide elections regardless of their extend.
