Shortage of semiconductor chips almost sacked some U.S. producers last year, report says

Jan. 25 (UPI) — The semiconductor chip scarcity left U.S. producers and local consumers with not up to 5 days value of supplies now and then ultimate year, the Commerce Department stated Tuesday, urging Congress to take motion to convey some aid to the tech sector.

The department’s record said that the chip shortage, a direct results of the COVID-19 pandemic, has seriously affected out of the country manufacturing hubs and left U.S. industries susceptible.
