Jan. 24 (UPI) — Seven U.S. Navy sailors were injured after a U.S. F-35C jet crashed on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft provider, the U.S. Pacific Fleet stated Monday.
The pilot crashed while conducting regimen flight operations in the South China Sea on Monday, the fleet stated in a statement. The pilot effectively ejected and was in stable condition after being recovered by way of a U.S. military helicopter.
