Record demand for power expected as snow, cold envelop Israel

Jan. 19 (UPI) — Call For for electricity throughout Israel soared on Wednesday as the us of a noticed plummeting temperatures and demanding snowfall.

Snow fell and was forecast for many portions of Israel, including Jerusalem.


The Israel Electrical Organization mentioned it expected a record winter call for for electrical energy on Wednesday evening as temperatures get colder.

In Jerusalem, temperatures overnight from Wednesday to Thursday are expected to drop to only above freezing. In Tel Aviv, they’re projected to be within the low 40s Fahrenheit.

Snow has already fallen in parts of the Golan Heights, together with Mount Hermon, in addition as Galilee and in the Gush Etzion space.

Ski hotels in Israel are celebrating the brand new blizzard. Management officers mentioned they’ll open ski trails on Mount Hermon on Friday.
