Pentagon board recommends transfer of mentally ill Guantánamo Bay detainee

Feb. FIVE (UPI) — A mentally in poor health detainee held at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, must be transferred to a rehabilitation facility in Saudi Arabia after two decades of imprisonment, a Pentagon board announced Friday.

The detainee, Mohammed al-Qahtani, was suspected of being an supposed hijacker in Al Qaeda’s assaults on Sept. ELEVEN, 2001.
