North Korea warns of ‘stronger’ reaction after new U.S. sanctions

SEOUL, Jan. 13 (UPI) — North Korea spoke out Friday against new sanctions imposed by way of the U.s.a. in the wake of a pair of missile checks, calling the moves a “provocation” and caution of a “more potent and certain reaction” if Washington assists in keeping its “confrontational stance.”

In an announcement through its foreign ministry, North Korea justified the recent launches of what it claims are hypersonic weapons as a “reliable exercise of its proper to self-defense.”
