Malta’s Roberta Metsola becomes youngest person elected European Parliament president

Jan. 18 (UPI) — Maltese lawmaker Roberta Metsola used to be elected in a landslide on Tuesday to turn out to be president of the eu Parliament, following the loss of life remaining week of David Sassoli.

Metsola, who grew to become FORTY THREE Tuesday, gained 458 of the 616 votes cast for the position, which oversees the european Union’s legislative body and makes budgetary decisions for the bloc.
