Loss of seagrass leads to record number of manatee deaths

After a document collection of manatees died from hunger remaining 12 months, the U.S. Fish and Natural World Service and the Florida Fish and Flora And Fauna Conservation Commission have come in combination to form a Joint Unified Command to offer protection to the delicate creatures.

The “strange mortality adventure” going through the manatees is being blamed on an absence of seagrass, the primary food source for the creatures. the lack of seagrass has been in large part blamed on algal blooms that experience disrupted Florida ecosystems for years.
