Indonesia to move capital from Jakarta to jungle area to be called Nusantara

Jan. 18 (UPI) — Indonesian lawmakers handed a bill on Tuesday to officially relocate the capital of the country from Jakarta to a location in Kalimantan state — and title the new executive center Nusantara.

The move on Tuesday follows a promise by President Joko Widodo three years ago to transport the capital because of a bunch of factors in Jakarta, together with a crowded population and a sinking elevation.
