Australia will spend record $35M to protect native koalas

Jan. 29 (UPI) — The Australian executive said Saturday it plans to spend about $35 million to give protection to local koalas and boost restoration efforts.

High Minister Scott Morrison stated in a press release the money would be used to restore habitats, and support training in treatment and handle “certainly one of the most special species in the world.”
